About

Hello, and welcome to Polkadot Passport!
My name is Nicola Easterby. I’m a 22 year-old Aussie girl with a camera glued to her hands and adventure glued to her feet! Ever since I took my first solo trip to Europe at the age of 19,  I quickly discovered that staying in one place would no longer satisfy my itchy feet.
A year later, I begun my humble little travel blog as a place to share my adventures. Fast forward two years and I now have the best job in the world, circling the globe as a travel photographer and blogger (I regularly need to pinch myself)! To date, I’ve been lucky enough to travel to 37 countries and I’m not going to let this number stop growing.
You can read about my whole journey to become a full-time travel blogger here.
I started Polkadot Passport as a source of travel inspiration and information for adventurous souls. By sharing unique, bucket-list experiences, destination guides, travel photography tips and endless adventures, Polkadot Passport simple goal is to inspire everyone to go out and explore this beautiful world we live in. I am living proof that you don’t to have a full-time career under your belt or an overflowing bank account in order to explore the world. A life of adventure is possible for anyone who is willing to chase after it!
Watching Polkadot Passport grow over the past two years has been a crazy and exciting process. The blog has recently won the silver award for best upcoming travel blogger at TBC Asia 2016 and has been featured on the likes of the Daily Mail, Lonely Planet, Matador Network, and Huffington Post. If you’d like to find out more about working with Polkadot Passport, get in touch here!
Adventure awaits… So let’s go find it!

How are you funding all your trips? It looks so beautiful and I’m incredibly jealous. I would love to do the same thing but it can get pretty expensive. Just hoping for some insight. Thanks :)

Hi Julia! I’ve funded my trips mainly through working multiple casual jobs and running my photography business! I am lucky to have the income of my photography, but to be honest most of it does just come from spending months on end working mediocre jobs knowing the end goal, which makes it all worth it! It does require sacrifices, but it is definitely the best thing in the world to spend money on in my opinion :)

Absolutely in love with your blog! Your photography is seriously amazing! I’m currently living in Spain so I’m excited to see where you travel in Europe so I can get some more inspiration on where to go.
