Auckland Photos to Inspire You to Visit

Sometimes the best adventures start in your own backyard as these Auckland photos will prove!

I am the biggest culprit of constantly seeking experiences in far away places, yet failing to explore the place I live. Having lived as an ex-pat in Auckland last year whilst saving up for my around the world adventure, I didn’t venture outside of Auckland nearly as much as I should have.

So when I flew over to Auckland for two weeks during my mid-semester university break to visit my family, I knew this was going to prime-time for to do so! With my bestie by my side, we ventured north of Auckland and stayed at a divine beach house at Baddleys Beach, just down the road from the quaint town of Matakana. Our days consisted of exploring the nearby farmers markets, cheese and wine on the deck, smores by the fire, long walks along the beach and gazing at the stars at night. Does it get much better than that?
